John Lewis
The John Lewis Partnership appointed Wood&Wood Signs, after a competitive tendering process, as the retail signage contractor for their corporate re-branding programme. The contract was to develop external signage and fascias for 4 department stores, including their flagship store on Oxford Street, London.
The retail signs include canopy lettering, projecting signs, suspended signs and all canopies and bracket work to support the signs. The individual letters were fabricated from 3mm aluminium with opal acrylic faces.
The illumination was via cold cathode tube. All signs and fascias were polyester powder coated to John Lewis' corporate colours.
As work progressed the scope extended to cover all external signs including the distribution centres, customer collection points, car parks and secondary signs.
The successful completion of the initial contract led to two further phases, which have now included all of the John Lewis department stores. In total, we completed 21 stores nationwide.
