Kent University

The University of Kent has a strong international focus with sites in Canterbury, Tonbridge and Medway and sister sites in Belgium and France. When the University decided to update the sign scheme at their 300 acre Canterbury Site, Wood&Wood Signs worked with them to manufacture their unique design using silk screen aluminium panels with blue powder coating and laser cut and etched stainless steel. The scheme comprises 120 education signs across the 300 acre campus including Monoliths, Fingerposts, Wall Mounted Signs and Building Identities. The monolith panels in particular required precise engineering to achieve complex opposing angles within the same panel. These were designed to feature the University’s strong branding.

The end result is a contemporary characteristic sign that enhances the University’s campus.
