Dublin City Centre

Tourists and locals have welcomed the integrated wayfinding signage scheme installed in the heart of Dublin’s City Centre. The scheme, which is dual language and has a cultural focus comes under the public realm contract between Dublin City Council and J C Decaux.

Featuring a total of 104 signs sited across the city including dual language fingerposts in English and Irish and 20 double sided map panels with easy to read “heads up” mapping. The Council chose robust construction of shot peened stainless steel frames, with powder-coated fingers. The maps are housed in toughened, low iron glass panels and digitally printed and reverse applied so they can easily be updated. All the panels also have a fingerpost on the top and are backlit for day and night use with energy saving LED illumination.

These signs will make it easier for pedestrians to navigate their way around this popular destination, which is billed as one of the friendliest cities in the world.
