Client Tower of London
The Tower of London was founded around 1066 and is currently home to the crown jewels. It is one of the most iconic buildings in the UK and is a world heritage site.
The Challenge
We were commissioned to manufacture and install new wayfinding signage across the site. The challenge was producing signage which was robust due to the very large number of visitors each year and was in keeping with the estate.
Our Solution
The signage solution included finger posts, lecterns, information panels along with walls signs and freestanding movable signs.
The structural design used the octagonal post extrusion which had been designed for other Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) sites.
This was selected to ensure there was the same feel to the signage across the different parts of the HRP estate. Great care had to be taken when it came to the installation due to the historic importance of the building.
